Rebecca joins me in the studio for this slightly long but still under an hour episode, not that there is anything wrong with that. We had planned on doing this podcast together, but we didn’t count on being all hopped up on sugar after making a slurpee run. We take some time to chat about some interesting things happening in the world of Canadian books, television, and film, run through some hockey news other than just the Stanley Cup, and discuss the 2006 World Cup in Germany since we’re anxious to win her office pool.

A packed epsiode that started on the Queen of Coquitlam ferry as we made our way back to Vancouver from the Sunshine Coast. I did some brief soundseeing on the ferry as we came into Horseshoe Bay on that Saturday, but Rebecca and I didn’t finish this episode until Tuesday where we recap the running events we participated in over the weekend. We finish with some Hockey Talk about the Stanley Cup and Memorial Cup.

I often carry around recording gear, so this is my first attempt at including smaller recordings that I make into the podcast. I tell you a little about the Eagle Cam and finish out the episode with the two soundseeing pieces. Williams Park in Langley, B.C. is a protect spawning ground for salmon and trout. You’ll also get to hang out with me and Rebecca at the 9 O’clock Gun in Stanley Park.

Rebecca joins me for another CouchCast. There is so much to cover that I truly needed her help on this one. We briefly review the Mates of State show we went to last Friday, discuss our experiences with the Vancouver Sun Run, talk about construction details and headaches about the Canada Line, and finish up with some Hockey Talk that, oddly enough, includes huge news about the Canucks. Recorded via minidisc, I sat down with Rebecca on our couch last night to chat a lot about lots of random topics. Most of them relate back to Vancouver, but we cover some other things as well. We talked about a lot, hockey being the main topic I wanted to have her on the podcast for. We’re off to the Mates of State show tonight in Vancouver, so I play two cuts by them as well.

Minidisc and microphone packed along for the trip, Rebecca and I take some time to review our trip to the Okanagan, things we did during our stay, and the route we drove to get there. There’s quite a bit you can do in the Okanagan, but we went for the wine tours. Since it’s been a while that Rebecca has been on the podcast, we also took some time for hockey talk. We also chat about some of the supernatural legends in B.C and some of the other areas in the interior.

This is raw, unscripted, no music, and as real life as it gets. The first podcast since getting married, Don Deeley is in town to share his thoughts and experiences about being in Vancouver for a week, attending our wedding, and being the DJ/MC at our reception. After a night of a little alcohol and some hockey, we sat down at our dinning room table to chat a little. Listen to it all, fast forward the slow parts, or just wait for the next episode when it comes out. We’re tired, silly, having fun, and exhausted from the events from the past weekend. That’s life!

Humega special announcement that is so huge, I had to have Rebecca join me on this podcast. This is the first time I have ever had someone else on this podcast in this home studio here in Vancouver. It’s another trip in the car with Rebecca for this episode. We were heading out to Ikea for some Christmas shopping, and I took the opportunity to do more experimenting with being mobile. We discuss a wide range of topics mostly regarding to Vancouver in my attempts to not only help educate myself, but also share the tidbits of knowledge that I’m learning about this area every single day. I swear that somedays Rebecca must get annoyed with the amount questions I ask her on a nearly daily basis. No music once again for this episode, aside from the background noise from the car stereo which allowed for a great segue for the last bit of this episode.
