RadioZoom#71 – Podcasting for Kids; Hockey and the Olympics; MIA For a Bit

GarageBand 3 appears to be so simple to use that even my nephew and niece can make their own podcast. I share a little bit of what showed up in my email last night. Amazing what kids can do these days. We’ll also dive into the olympics a little bit to talk about hockey, plus the other events of the games that I’m enjoying.

Since Rebecca and I are getting married very soon, I cannot promise anything in terms of episodes for the next few weeks. I take a moment to share what you can expect from me once the festivities simmer down a little bit.

RadioZoom#70 – Site Redsign; CBC vs. NBC Olympic Coverage; Podcasts I Listen To

This episode comes with the announcement of a complete site redesign for the show notes of the podcast. I put in a lot of work and effort into the new digs, but your comments are appreciated, more so if there are problems I need to address. Other topics for today, my experience watching olympic coverage on the CBC versus the American coverage I have been used to all my life. I also take a moment to share what other podcasts I have been checking out and think you should check out as well.

Site Redesign

As of last night, The RadioZoom Podcast has a new look and feel to it. I worked hard to understand how this new design will work in all aspects of the podcast. As you can see, there are some additions to the ways you can listen to my podcasts.

Feel free to download them as you usually would, or surf into the site and listen to them straight off the pages themselves. You don’t have to take up space on your hard drive, iPod, mp3 player, or anything else like that. Listen where ever and however you want to. At work, in the computer lab, or the internet cafe of your choice.

As with all changes, I’ll be working out the kinks as they come up. Please feel free to contact me if you have any problems. I’ll do my best to get them sorted out as soon as I can. I am in the process of getting all the old podcasts and show notes added back into this new setup. As some of you also know, I’m getting married soon, so please give me some time to get it all sorted out.

RadioZoom#69 – Winter Olympics; The Ben Interview

The 2006 Winter Olympics kicked off in Italy today. I share a little bit about what I saw during the live broadcast the CBC provided this afternoon and discuss these olympics in relation to the upcoming 2010 games in Vancouver. And while prepping today’s episode, my nephew came online with iChat. I took the opportunity to perform yet another experiment and record a conversation with him and his mother, Wendy. And by the way, Happy Birthday, Wendy!!! We also cover some listener feedback.

RadioZoom#67 – Rebecca in the ‘Studio’; The Humega Announcement; Hockey Talk

Humega special announcement that is so huge, I had to have Rebecca join me on this podcast. This is the first time I have ever had someone else on this podcast in this home studio here in Vancouver. In fact, I never did anything like this back in Iowa either. A Hockey Talk segment and the podcast meet up that we are going to tonight. If you ask me, she is such a cutie!

This is a repost as Blogger.com spontaneously deleted the original post due to issues on their part. Let’s hope this one is more permanent.

RadioZoom#66 – Vancouver Weather; Lower Mainland Drivers

Rolling out a little later than what has been normal. Life has picked up a little bit, so I haven’t had time until today to get something out. This episode includes some discussion about the weather in Vancouver, drivers in the lower mainland, and some listener feedback. Just doing my best to give you more insight on what it’s like to be a boy from Iowa, living in the land of Canada.
